I’m a co-founder of Kappa, a B2B cross-border payments platform for sub-Saharan Africa. I work with an amazing team on breaking down the barriers that have held back African businesses for decades.
I am also active in the auditory neuroscience and applied AI space, where I work with an academic partner on algorithms for sensory enhancement and restoration.
I spent 8 years in the quantitative trading space before that as a founder and PM.
My background is in physics and computer science. I did work on experimental quantum computing during my PhD, working with superconducting circuits and other interesting systems.
I’m driven by the belief that finance can be a true force for good — the ultimate force multiplier that helps people and society accomplish their biggest goals. Financial services is a $20 trillion industry today that touches everything. If you want to start a business, build a school or hospital, develop the latest vaccine or find new ways to fight climate change, everything requires capital. We need finance to be great. And we need it to work for everyone.
